Comments

Quite solid mid and basal pack for early January, though the 12/11 layer is still a concern in isolated locations. PST result shows that this layer is not likely to propagate in this location, which has not slid this season. This layer is rounding and has been for some time, but will remain a concern for the near term if subject to a rapid loading event.

For skier triggerability this layer is largely dormant, but isolated areas such as places that have slid are still suspect, especially where a more pronounced slab is found on top.

It is highly variable out there, and wind damage was fairly high from the most recent event. Many paths have fat slabs that are in unusual or lower locations than normal due to crossloading. Some of these places slid during the 12/21 cycle, some did not.
