Comments

Ridgetop surface hoar forming on wind ripples.

Glittery frost or surface hoar near the top of Beaver Mt.

(12-17-2014)

We found pretty nice shallow powder and dust-on-crust conditions. Although mostly supportable, shallow conditions exist and sharp rocks are certainly a concern. The snow is sugary and rotten in places; around rocks and in shallow areas.
