Nice corn conditions top to bottom on SE thru N facing aspects.

Plenty of older avalanches/deposition from the cycle last week.

Didn't heat up enough to affect the snow much below the top couple of inches.

some potential for wet avalanches on steep slopes in the afternoon, but loose surface snow not cohesive enough to concern us much today, with supportable snow underneath.

Last week's avalanche in Hells Canyon from above and below. This is big country, where natural wet sluffs can quickly grow into dangerous avalanches.
