Snow Characteristics Comments
Except for the bottom several hundred vertical feet above the parking lot, 4" of cold winter snow that had been blown around pretty good by the wind. Made for a good ski surface - it was a bit heavy but was shallow enough to be easy turning. Underneath the new snow the older snow wasn't hard or otherwise set up. Nearing the parking lot the new snow got very sticky in sunny spots and would then freeze on the skis when returning into shade.
