Facets from early winter are still there, just buried under 4-5 feet of snow. The 'low probability, high consequence' stance makes total sense.

As stated in recent forecasts, avalanches are harder to trigger but are very large right now. Solid snow on top of facets is still the issue, and maintaining lower slope angles still makes sense.
