Snow Characteristics Comments

The 24 hour new snow is unusually light and dry for this region (2% maybe); however, in the mid and upper elevations the wind is rapidly transporting this fluff into lee areas. From the upper weather station on down, the new snow was largely untouched and beautiful powder.

The 24 hour new snow is about 12-15".

Red Flags Comments
The new storm snow does not seem to have added enough weight fast enough to the snowpack to activate the various dormant weak layers. However, the wind has formed new soft slabs in lee areas which are sensitive to ski cuts (cracks shooting out from ski tips).
