Arrived pre laurel meadow around 11:00 am as clouds lifted. Still Winds

Shoulder of the funnel only had 10" of coverage but besides a thin layer of depth hoar at the ground it was one well consolidated layer with two inches of fluff blown in on top. The skiing was there and north woods was worthwhile

Breaking trail on the west facing skin track from funnel shoulder back to North woods I punched through into a deep large pocket/void below a thick well formed crust. I was in the woods but the ground cover below the snow was an ugly mix of downed trees and talus which likely radiated heat out into the snow
