Snow Characteristics
Snow Surface Conditions
Rain-Rime Crust
Snow Characteristics Comments
was surprised to see a fairly stout crust as I skinned up today. looked like a west south west wind and, depending on elevation, a pretty sizeable clear then rime ice event followed by hoar frost. the hoar frost appears to be a tree affair, not on the snow surface. clear ice looked like a band from 8000-8900'. rime was from the willow fork trailhead to the parkcity ridgeline 7000-10000'
