Overcast for most of the day. Clearing would come and go. Wind was light and air temp was cool to cold. Snow fall was noticable at times in the moderate range. Perhaps 4-6" fell throughout the day. Climbed up Red Baldy to cloud base about 10800'. Above that it was constant clouds.

Snow Characteristics Comments

Snow was well behaved. Light fluffy powder sitting on sun crust from last week. Pic of the pit will show that there are several crusts in the snow pack just waiting to form a plain for free water to run on IF the sun ever returns and things get warm again.

You could pry the column off with a somewhat clean shear but it took quite an effort.

Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
Really not many red flags flying today. Light snow fell with little wind and it stayed cold. "This is the place".
