Snow Characteristics Comments

Not sure exactly how much new snow there was, I would estimate around 14 inches in the last 24hrs. New snow was light density and right side up. Not enough sun to make the snow go off except on South facing.

Comments

Travel today was LSB NE facing, Cardiac Ridge, Room of Doom into Mineral. Snow seemed quite stable today, just a few shallow soft slabs and sluffs noted. Cardiac Ridge came through again with a fairly large slide down the center punch for a safe and easy route up, noted quite a bit of sluffs and soft slabs from yesterdays period of high snowfall. Pics skier triggered slide on LSB, looked to be a soft slab with a crown about 8 or so inches deep, pretty benign, The slide in Cardiac ridge that was the route up, sluffing in E facing Mineral.

Walking up slide paths that have already run has work out nicely in this storm cycle, and if your a powder skier life has been good the last three days. Pics, slide in the Room of Doom that provided a safe route up, Spring POW!
