the new snow was blown around by mostly west and northwest winds

we spent the last two days at the steam mill yurt. There is about 6 inches of new snow up there from the storm yesterday and today. Good turning today on most aspects but the low angle slopes kept us from scraping the new snow away from the steeper frozen slopes.

soft wind slab sensitive on slopes greater than 35 degrees. Not running very far.

Comments

overall conditions of 6 inches on a nice base in the steammill area. With the exception of the soft wind slab, the danger seems low.
