Red Flags Comments
Felt some settlement and heard whomphing, saw some cracks extend from skis in a few isolated low angle North facing slopes at the beginning of our climb up the Corkscrew Glade ascent. A ski pole probe indicated significant depth hoar at ground level for 10+ cm from ground in a shallow snowpack of around 4 ft of snow at 9,800 ft.NW face. Also buried suncrust (1.5 ft down?)
