The Utah Avalanche Center - Moab will issue the next avalanche advisory for the La Sal and Abajo Mountains for the weekend of January 12th. Models are in agreement that a winter storm will affect southeast Utah starting Thursday afternoon and may extend into the weekend. With more snow and wind, the avalanche danger is expected to rise.
