Just 'cause you can see it from the car doesn't mean it's safe or you're good to go. Our front-line health care workers are maxed out. So, let's collectively think about our decisions and the consequences that may have on others, especially if we need outside assistance or a rescue.

Nowcast-
Under clear skies, temperatures remained mild overnight, generally registering in the upper 20's and low 30's across the board. Southerly winds currently blow 10-20 mph. along the high ridges. Riding and turning conditions are a mixed bag, though there's some creamy snow found in wind sheltered terrain. But with snow depths only averaging 18" or so, the Uinta's are quite thin.
Forecast-
Look for mostly sunny skies with high temperatures climbing into the low 40's. A weak system slides through the region late in the day, but the only real impact is a few clouds and a couple of degrees of cooling. Overnight lows dip into the 20's. Southerly winds remain reasonable, but blow in the 20's and 30's along the high peaks.
Futurecast-
Sunny skies and dry weather prevail through the week, with very warm temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday. Something resembling a storm materializes towards the end of the week, but the jury still deliberates as I write this forecast... stay tuned.
Gazing into the weather forecast crystal ball... some interesting food for thought moving forward in the image above.

No new avalanche activity to report. Ted found a drift or two on Double Hill yesterday, but in general they are tired and unreactive. More on his travels and informative insight found
