Comments

A skier triggered a 10-14" x 40' wide wind slab on a steep E-SE aspect just off the south ridge of Mt. Superior. The avalanche very quickly picked up speed and additional snow in the steep terrain. The skier was able to cut left onto a sub ridge and avoid being caught and carried.
