Comments
Earlier in the day, we noted failures on isolation of wind slab hand sheers in isolated locations. The avalanche occurred while we were skiing one at a time across small, shallow gully feature seeking better snow. Fracture propagated 30' above the skier, and carried him 200'. He lost one ski which was recovered shortly thereafter.
