The trigger of this avalanche is suspected as being a snowmobiler but is not known for certain. However, this is a popular slope to climb and there have been no weather events recently which have produced natural avalanches. This would suggest it was snowmobile triggered. Judging by the fracture, it most likely released last weekend.
