[This is preliminary and UAC staff will visit the avalanche on Friday and will provide additional details.]
The first skier on the slope triggered a hard slab avalanche up to 2 feet deep. The skier was caught and carried through trees and sustained injuries. The party of three was able to self-rescue with some assistance from patrollers from Park City Mountain Resort.
