Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Brett Kobernik for Thursday - March 22, 2018 - 6:57am
bottom line

Rain today up to 9000 feet or higher may produce wet natural avalanche activity. The steep upper elevation northwest through east facing slopes still have a CONSIDERABLE avalanche danger where human triggered avalanches are still likely.

Straight talk: It is very hard to predict how the snowpack will react to getting rained on. What we know is that often times rain on snow causes natural avalanches. With pre-existing weak snow near the base of our snowpack, it's best to expect avalanche activity.
