Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Brett Kobernik for Tuesday - April 11, 2017 - 6:48am
bottom line

The avalanche danger is generally LOW today. Avoid being below large cornices and any glide cracks.

current conditions

Sunny slopes and lower elevation terrain warmed a bit on Monday. There was minor pinwheeling and rollerballing on southerly facing slopes but no significant avalanche activity. The snow remains firm underneath the 4" of new snow we received on Saturday night. At the end of the day Monday, there was still cold snow on the northerly aspects. You will find extensive wind damage in many locations with some slopes scoured down to the old melt/freeze crust and other areas with 2 foot deep drifts.
