description

Things are fairly safe out there today but there are two things that I will be watching for when I'm out today. They both relate to the warm weather over the last couple of days. First, I'll be avoiding large cornices. Second, I'll avoid being below and slope that has a glide crack in it. Continued warm weather enhance the chance of problems with both of these concerns.

weather

A storm is moving through northern Utah. We'll have clouds and the chance for snow showers with no significant accumulation expected today. Temperatures remain quite warm today. Southwest wind will remain strong. Most of the snow will be north of us but we still might pick up a few inches tonight. Temperatures drop into the mid teens overnight. The wind will veer to the northwest and remain fairly strong. The storm clears out Sunday morning and we should see sun with daytime high temperatures in the upper 20s with slowing northwest wind.
