Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Brett Kobernik for Tuesday - March 7, 2017 - 6:23am
bottom line

Out of wind affected terrain, the new snow is generally stable with a LOW avalanche danger. A MODERATE avalanche danger exists anywhere you find freshly wind drifted snow on steep slopes, mainly on the more north through east facing upper elevation terrain. Cornices are large and should not be trusted.

current conditions

A few more inches of snow trickled in over the last 24 hours. It's been windy and the wind continued overnight. It actually increased in speed a bit. Temperatures remain cold with readings in the low to mid teens. The new snow provides excellent riding conditions. However, you will find wind damage in many areas. The wind drifted snow is also your main avalanche concern today. All of the drifts that I poked at on Monday wouldn't crack but I would still be very leery of large drifts on steep slopes.
