Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Brett Kobernik for Thursday - December 29, 2016 - 6:46am
bottom line

There is a LOW avalanche danger in most of the terrain. A MODERATE danger exists along the higher ridgelines where wind drifts or winds slab have recently formed. Avoid slopes approaching 40 degrees where the wind has recently formed drifts.

current conditions

Riding conditions still remain good out of the wind effected terrain. The wind has slowed down overnight. It was continuing to drift snow along the higher ridgelines on Wednesday. All of the drifts that I poked at were stubborn and I could not get any to crack. My guess is that if you're on a steep enough slope that has a large enough recently formed drift, it may crack out on you.
