Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Brett Kobernik for Thursday - February 4, 2016 - 6:39am
bottom line

DANGEROUS CONDITIONS STILL EXIST! The avalanche danger is CONSIDERABLE in the high terrain on slopes over 35 degrees. The new snow along with wind drifting enhances the chances of triggering an avalanche that breaks into deep weak layers. Avalanche paths that have already avalanched this season are the most likely places to find trouble.

I was caught in an avalanche in Huntington Canyon on Wednesday afternoon. It broke into weak snow near the ground. I sustained some injuries but was able to get back to the truck without assistance from my partners. DETAILS
