Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Brett Kobernik for Tuesday - November 17, 2015 - 7:03am
bottom line

Travel is difficult right now due to the thin snow cover but if you are able to make it up into the higher terrain there may be areas where a person could trigger an avalanche today. The avalanche danger is MODERATE in the higher terrain.

current conditions

We don't have very much information about the current snowpack. The recent storm has added 6 to 12 inches of snow above 9000 feet. Increasing north winds are most likely drifting this snow around which is probably forming some sensitive drifts. This new snow may be landing on weaker snow near the ground which would make things more sensitive and increase the avalanche danger.
