Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Skyline Area Mountains Issued by Craig Gordon for Saturday - November 9, 2013 - 7:14am
special announcement

Join us and the 509 crew at SnowBigDeal for an evening avalanche presentation. It's free and more details can be found here.

This is a great time to schedule an avalanche awareness class for your group or club. Please call me at 801-231-2170 or email [email protected] for more details.

While we're waiting for winter you can check out our Events section.

current conditions

It's pretty thin out there, but a few rock free meadows could offer a mellow ride on the sled.

As you can see, there's old snow on the high elevation north facing terrain surrounding the Skyline. The snow is growing weak and sugary and will be a problem once winter arrives.

weather

High pressure this weekend will bring clear skies and temperatures warming into the low to mid 40's. A change in the pattern may take place late this week.
