We will continue issuing intermittent advisories until more snow comes.

Yesterday's storm delivered 6-10 inches of new snow that fell on dirt in many places or on top of 3-4 inches of old snow in other places. Temperatuers this morning were in the teens F about 9000 feet and winds were blowing 15-20 mph and gusting to 30 mph from the NW. Watch for fresh drifts or wind slabs especially where they may be resting on old snow.

Today will see lingering snowfall which may produce an inch or two of snow with temperatures rising into the high 20s F. Strong NW winds will continue but should lessen some this afternoon. Otherwise the weather will become drier and warmer for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

If you trigger an avalanche in the backcountry, but no one is hurt and you do not need assistance, please notify the nearest ski area dispatch to avoid a needless response by rescue teams. Thanks.

To those skinning uphill at resorts:  it is your responsibility to know the resort policy on uphill travel.  You can see the uphill travel policy for each resort here.
