Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Provo Area Mountains Issued by Evelyn Lees for Friday - November 15, 2013 - 10:05am
special announcement

Travel to the snow continues to be difficult in the Provo area mountains, with no low and mid elevation snow. The Provo mountains both north and south of Provo Canyon did well with the early season storms, and they have kept their early season snow on upper elevation north and northeasterly facing slopes. Similar to the Salt Lake and Park City mountains, most of this snow on these slopes had weakened and faceted and will not be able to take much snow before becoming avalanche prone.

Until we get more field data, please check the Salt Lake forecast for pertinent information.
