With very little snow on the ground, avalanches are fairly unlikely even on snow covered upper elevation slopes. Isolated, small wet avalanches are possible on a few very steep sunny slopes at high elevations. |

CURRENT CONDITIONS |
|
Snow at upper elevations is shallow and quite solid, and it will act as a nice base for early season play on select slopes with smooth ground surfaces.
We recommend helmets and protective pads for those pursuing early season springlike sliding. There's still not near enough snow for riding in the high country. With only one inch of water contained in five inches of snow, the Tony Grove Snotel site reports only 47% of normal snow for the date. |

Springlike wet avalanches in the early season are not all that uncommon in these parts and warming daytime temperatures this week could soften up surface snow on upper elevation sheltered slopes. These could become problematic in complex terrain, and you should avoid steep slopes with moist surface snow. |

Looks like a benign weather pattern and fair weather through mid-week. Expect windy and very warm pre-frontal conditions on Thursday ahead of a somewhat
promising looking through and possible snow for next weekend. Still a bit too far ahead to tell, but looks like the best chance for snowfall will come on around Saturday night...
