Red Flags Comments
We found the same poor snowpack structure documented by Mark Staples on 2018 01 19. There is a density change about 10cm up from the old/new snow interface that didnt seem to be bonding well, with Q2/Q3 cracks on CT2 and CT3. We also got Q2 and Q3 results in the mid CT20's on various layers throughout the middle pack. None of our ECT's propogated, but we did get a PST 43/100 END, 75cm down from the surface on a NNE slope at 9850 off the nw ridge. Also, at 9850' we found HS125 through HS 140 on a sheltered N and NE aspect.
