Balmy, gray-bird day in the hills today. Mostly calm with and occasional light breeze on the ridge. Temps in the high 30's to low 40's at 9000 feet. Overcast sky, but the intensity of the sun could be felt through the clouds at times.
Snow Characteristics
Snow Surface Conditions:
Melt-Freeze Crust
Damp
Snow Characteristics Comments:

I stayed on northerly aspects today and noticed damp snow at all elevations traveled- 8700 ft to 9300 ft. Snowballs were easy to make, yet it must have been just cool enough that I avoided the dreaded skin-glop. The ridge held a breakable melt-freeze crust. Fun "spongy" ski conditions.
