Beautiful, warm, sunny day. Calm to no wind at lower elevations while skinning up trough the trees before noon. Northerly winds increased above treeline during early afternoon, approx. 10-20 MPH

Certainly a mixed bag of snow conditions. Most snow surfaces show the effects of recent winds. Melt freeze crusts on the Southern aspects in the AM. Wind and sun sheltered areas had variable conditions, but typically dense loose re-crystallized snow to settled powder snow. Upper elevations in the Cirque showed some thin wind crusts and surface wind features, but generally the surface was soft re-crystallized snow with a supportable base....good skiing! East facing slope of Tele-Gold was becoming a bit wet as we climbed to the Cirque. The sun will most likely start to create sun crusts on most aspects over the next several days, but a corn snow cycle seems to be on it's way. No snow depth or snow pit data. We chose to stay off of steeper terrain today.

Recent avalanches during last storm cycle were obvious - steep slopes that did not slide during storm would be suspect. Sun exposed slopes east-south-west were showing signs of rapid warning - several wet sluffs and point releases where noted. Some were large enough to knock you down.
