Comments
I went looking for soft snow on the north side of the Millcreek/Big Cottonwood ridgeline , I suspected that this would be a place you could trigger and Avalanche today because of the shallow snowpack in that area and the pre-existing facets. The wind was blowing really hard and transporting any available snow on to the north side of the ridge creating wind slabs that was stiff and stubborn but it was also overloading the facets. I'm not sure if this Avalanche record today or during the previous wind events. North east face of little water peak. Fire water is named on the wasatch backcountry map. FORECASTER COMMENTS: Date is not certain and guessed as to timing of wind event.
