Two skiers came upon a recent avalanche and spotted a ski on the debris. They initiated a search and alerted Snowbasin ski patrol who joined in the search. After an hour or so, no one was located in the slide but two skiers emerged from the woods. They had been traversing down hill for an hour because one of them only had one ski after triggering and getting caught in the avalanche and losing a ski.
