Comments
Probably kind an obvious observation, as I could see all of these with the naked eye from Saratoga Springs, so most of Utah valley could have seen these if they were looking, but I counted almost 50 slides down the west side of Timp yesterday afternoon around 4:00. They varied in width and length, but the largest of the ones I could see ran almost 1,500 feet. Every slide I could see had broken on a south or west aspect. As far as I could tell, these were all natural; however, I could see some ski and snowmobile tracks near a could of the avalanches at the lower elevations. I assume these were all caused by the warm day.
