A cold front moved through last night and laid down about 2 inches of new snow. Ridgetop temperatures dropped and are reading about 10˚F with some stations in the single digits. Northwest wind is slowing down compared to the blustery conditions on Sunday.

There is not really enough snow in the high country to do any recreating with snowmobiles, skis or snowboards. Concerns for avalanches are also minimal at this time.

Prior to the little dusting on Sunday night, Dec 3, there was about 8 to 12 inches of snow above about 10,000' on the more northerly aspects. This snow has become weak during all of the clear weather we've seen. With more clear and mild weather on the way, the existing snow may become a concern once we actually start seeing the snow stack up.
