The thin snowcover really limits where you can travel right now. However, there is plenty to scoot around on many of the Forest Service roads in the higher terrain. Folks are not getting onto the steeper avalanche prone slopes right now and even if they were, the avalanche danger is quite low.
The snow from earlier in November has changed into a loose sugary type of snow grain we refer to as 'faceted snow'. This faceted snow near the ground could act as a weak layer once it's buried deeper by future storms. There are more details in my observation from my field work in Seeley on Saturday:
