Route Map: 

USA Bowl:  Looking north from Brighton or Solitude, this open bowl looks like the contiguous United States.  Avoid the terrain east of the Mississippi.  Tourers used to be welcome at the upper Solitude parking lot 12.3 miles up the canyon, but have since been denied.   If parking is available, park here and walk across the street and along the often plowed road through the houses and cabins.  Follow the road to about 8500’ where you can see a large private house to your east.  Head north up through the aspens.  Two miles and almost 2000’ gain the ridgeline.  Good, open riding awaits the tourers on the way down.  Dogs are not allowed in the watershed of BCC.
