The upper layer of coarse failed when cutting out a block, the lower Faceted failed at a CT of 24, 26 just under the shovel.  The area tested was a vary sheltered slope.  We checked a East facing slope and did not see the buried surface facets but was a 2 CM layer of faceting under the newer snow.  Light snow fall all day approximately 2 inches new, ridge top winds light.
