Comments:

depth hoar still reactive in snowpit testing, wind skin from last night's winds is reactive, but we did not find a location where it was thicker than about 4 inches.  wind skin fails on isolation on steep slopes, but difficult to get to slide on test slopes.  did not ski any wind loaded steep terrain.  compression tests fail in the moderate range with taps from the elbow.  exact number of taps varys by location.  slab still pops out with considerable energy.
