Instant gratification.  Full propagation of the upper 10 inches on buried surface hoar on an ECT, with 8 taps from the wrist.  Q1 shear.  Other than that, could not get any shears down lower in the snowpack.  Snowpack was much thinner here than I have seen lately in the upper reaches of Big and Little Cottonwood.  However, much of the basal weak layers seemed to be strengthening and are now mostly finger hardness.
