I dug this pit fairly near the fracture of a natural avalanche which occurred during the height of the 12-13-09 storm....In this, my ECT showed the slab fail on faceted snow with full propagation in fifteen taps ( or 5 from the elbow). This is a remarkably weak result since it's been 4 days since the event.....Shows how long it can take for stabilization to occur in these conditions...
