My partners and I took a good look at northerly facing terrain in Days and Silver today.  We were quite pleased with what we found with an overall good looking and stable structure for the time being.  There are a couple of very stubborn shears present, one in graupel from the middle of the last storm and one just under the heat crust from Nov 6.  No collapsing or propagation with testing.  The upper portion of the snowpack contains still visible stellars and broken particles.  Below the heat crust are small grained facets that appear to have some bonds under a scope.  This would concure with the stubborn shears at that layer.  A now lack of temperature gradient would possibly support bonds here also.

Here's another look at the structure.  Again, in my opinion, this looks good right now.  Layers are right side up with consolidated snow deeper in the pack.  Under skis the pack is quite supportable with only scattered rotton/faceted spots near thin rocky areas.

This is a location in Silver Fork where the snow is about 10-12" shallower.  Even so the structure is still good with very similar layering to that next door in Days.
