Colder and breezy, unfortunately with flat light by the time I got up there....

Solid ice crust below about 8000'..... Hard and smooth Styrofoam-like snow up high.  !/4 inch boot penetration....  Snowmobile hardly left tracks and could ride anywhere...

At high elevations, a very destructive ice-storm occurred overnight 1-16/1-17 destroying many trees with the sudden additional weight.  Looked like a war zone in upper Steep Hollow
