Snow Characteristics
Snow Surface Conditions:
Powder
Faceted Loose
Snow Characteristic Comments:
A couple of inches of low density, super light fluff on top of 4-8" from last Tuesday's storm. As our elevation increased so did the abundance of large snow-making style wind pillows. Had a tiny one release underfoot while ascending while another larger one released when we were descending. It only moved a few feet though.
The exposed upper elevation terrain had some wind scouring.
Deposition from a large avalanche (mid-jan wet cycle) was still very visible.
The only other red flag we encountered was a collapse on the flats on the ridge.
