Snow Characteristics

Snow Surface Conditions:
Rain-Rime Crust
Snow Characteristic Comments:

A warm & turbulent event on Wednesday 010610 coated much of the skyline with a thin translucent rain crust.  The tree's had a light layer of rime as well.  Interestingly the rain crust is more developed at upper elevations.  I will be watching this layer carefully to see how it interacts with the next storm.
