No October snow observed.... Snow from 11-12-2011 now small facets in basal layer fairly well compressed into terrain features.... Generally shallow snow cover, with less than around 18 inches below around 8500 and still only around 2' up to around 8900'... A sustained high pressure would be bad news for this shallow snowpack. which would quickly turn into weak faceted snow if subjected to a strong temperature gradient now....
