Winds mostly confined to ridgelines, although there was some strong gusts that made it into more sheltered areas.
Just a few inches falling by mid morning.
Skied mostly lower angle stuff. Only very limited collapsing right near the ridgeline in a thinner, rockier area. Took a couple quick looks at snow, including the attached quick pit. With so much snow in the past few days, it is a bit difficult to keep track of old layers, especially in areas I have not been to this year. I could only find one crust within the snowpack, a little over a foot from the ground. Given its depth, I believe it was one of the October crusts and not the Nov rime crust. It was underlain by some weaker snow; however, in CTs and ECT I could not get a failure this low in the snowpack. In fact, I could not get failure at all in an ECT. On CTs, I could get failure at the graupel layers both above and below the dense windblown snow from Nov 20th (the visible brown layer).
