a potpourri of conditions: melt-freeze crust, rain crust, zipper crust, sun crust, wind hammered, loose surface snow, etc.  Found a bit of corn snow on mid-elevation south facing but other than that it was full on survival skiing on the descent.

Snowpack is ridiculously thin.
