Comments
I got out early this morning and found frozen powder on the way up. Once up top, I observed wide-spread surface hoar growth on wind exposed ridgelines and within the north slopes. As expected, these facets were easily sluffing in the steep north terrain but quickly shutdown once the angle of the slope fell to the upper 30s, very manageable. This will be the new layer to keep an eye on after the next storm system covers these nasty facets up.
